I’m Caroline!
I live in Charleston, SC, in a colorful 100-year-old home I made my own. I founded a marketing agency, Migrate. I believe the internet is an art form, and the special occasion is today.
When I was 16, I created a blog called “Noticing,” but at the time, I didn’t have the right language to capture the intuitive feeling that I was trying to express. I spent days diving into the project with passion, but when I shared it with others, I felt embarrassed and took it down.
Now, 10 years later, I know with confidence that abundance is accessed through the practice of paying attention. I believe that in the end, a well-lived life is made up of all the things you choose to notice today.
What You’ll Find Here
The view from my window, if you will. All the things I’m noticing! Because the best people are many things, I write about creativity, home, style, grief, spirituality, and more.
Weekly Noticings are a list of things — like my online bulletin board — that I send every Wednesday.
I share monthly guides on how to “like your life.” My life changed when I started asking, “If life is too hard to love, what can I like?” I have learned that the often-advertised goal of loving your life is impossible. Life is hard. But there is often something to like when we look. These are practical guides to daily delight.
I have recaps of each chapter of The Artist’s Way here!
In between, I share musings on creativity, grief, growing up, building a business, making internet art, and more.
Going Places is a marketing-centered publication run by our team at Migrate.
Behind The Design
The window symbol was painted by local Charleston artist, Julia Deckman, inspired by the windows on my house.
