Throughout my life, I have sought to define my place. My faith is important to me, but so is fashion. I enjoy working out and crafting. I want a night out, and I also appreciate staying in. I’m interested in depth, but need humor.
My mom and I used to laugh about the variety of things we dabbled in. One moment, I’m knee-deep in something written by a saint; the next, I’m stalking fashion trends. We all live quite a mix.
I’ve spent a lot of time trying to make sense of this. How do I fit the immensity of my hopes, feelings, desires, interests, griefs, and gifts into one heart? One day? One reality?
Has anyone in the marketing world ever told you to “niche down”? At Migrate, one of our core values is “range,” which we define as “We can meet anyone, anywhere. We aren’t afraid to spread our wings.” This is one of my favorite things about us.
At the start, I noticed that magic was happening when we let our “range” be. We allowed ourselves to work with clients from various industries and on diverse projects. As a result, we learned a great deal quickly, and our network expanded into unimaginable places.
I’ve been reflecting on how this value of “range” applies to more than business. As humans, we are many things at once.
Whenever I try to make sense of it all, I lose the mystery. In letting myself embrace my own range, everything has become freer, fuller, and feels more authentic.
There is no need to try to organize.
God gave us two good hands. We can carry both/and.
You are a divine gift — who said you’re supposed to make sense?

1 // I was influenced by
to order this ice tray on Prime Day. I am literally giddy when making iced coffee.2 // Yesterday, I spent the day with
giving some attention to my own content and work online. I work with clients all day on this stuff, and it was so refreshing (I felt spoiled!) to work on my personal projects for a little while. Ask for help! Set aside the time.3 // This clean protein in coffee and smoothies. Loving.
My jaw is dropping at the Anthro sale right now! All of this is an extra 40% off in cart! First, this pansy vase. I might order this Farm Rio x Anthro dress. This navy dress is so wearable — an instant closet classic. This mini balloon dress (not on collage) is so good. Pastel stripes — love how this gathers at the waist. And this lamp.
Love that you love the ice tray… a simple happy!
I, too, have felt pressured to pick one of my many interests to make sense on the internet. Here’s to being all we are! 😊❤️
