On this week's bulletin board: creativity in constraints, Martha Stewart spring, how to hope and more.

On Wednesdays, we chat about a random list of things I’m seeing, liking, thinking about, etc. This is my weekly bulletin board! Read on:

+ For Lent this year, I am setting out to use what I have. I am cut off from shopping. Approaching this challenge has filled me with a surprising amount of delight and clarity. My mental load feels lighter. When approaching my closet, my pantry, and my stockpile of garden tools, instead of asking, “What else do I need?” (nothing), I am asking, “What can I do with this?” Creativity thrives on constraints.

+ Every year since I was little, my mom would take us on “signs of spring” walks and help us look for new life. I have my eyes peeled for spring, and it’s giving me great hope. We find what we look for. Life amounts to what we notice. Where are you seeing spring?

+ I’m going for the Martha / Ina vibes this summer. We all need a denim shirt. This one has that classic look but is only $31. Meg sent me a picture of her wearing it this morning. Cuteness!!!

+ At Migrate, we work with influencers, and if you’re not on ShopMy — get on it!!! They do not gatekeep growing an affiliate stream online. You don’t have to have a big following. Anyone can try!!! I feel like they are revolutionizing influencer marketing. I love this platform.

+ Hope helps. Lately, I’ve been sitting with this question: How would you live now if you knew the best thing (job, partner, dream house, opportunity, news) was coming in a year? It has helped give me so much clarity on what I want, what I’m called to, and what to do about it today.

+ I love it when people share chic things in their everyday lives that don’t cost anything. I’d like to add a submission: sitting at the bar on a weeknight. I had a long, excellent dinner with a friend from out of town last night. A glass of wine, really good food, bar intimacy — it’s everything.

+ I have a brand crush on Lady Captain. They so generously sent me this dress, and I plan on wearing it with everything. Dress up, dress down. Light enough for spring, it can be paired with a jacket in cooler temps. Chic!!!

+ I love a twilly on a bag. Easy way to add spring color! This butter yellow Ralph Lauren $16 one. Huge Amazon selection here!! Well’s designs are the best. Love this one from Hermes for the real thing.

+ I recently revisited our Migrate values, and the note that “everything is figure-out-able” really stuck out. I recently took a big step for our team this past month. We are growing! I once thought things like hiring, payroll, benefits, etc, seemed like impossible hurdles. But alas, I continue to find the truth: everything (everything!!!!) is figure-out-able. Keep going!
